So after demolishing the first lot, we started digging the trenches for the foundation. This took about a week with a mini-excavator and later a large backhoe. The dirt was much more solid that we initially expected so it took more time than anticipated.

After finishing the foundation trenches, we went ahead and did all of the underground plumbing. Typically, we set the forms for the foundation first but because there was some delay, we decided to go ahead with the underground plumbing first.
